uncle mark and aunt jamey come to town!

we had some very special visitors come visit with us last week- uncle mark and aunt jamey all the way from LONDON! the girls were absolutely thrilled to spend time with them and maya made a friend for life with jamey. they are already talking about next year's visit! take a look!

so sorry it has taken me so long to post! the girls are doing extremely well and entertaining us in more ways than we ever imagined. this month, maya started ballet lessons at the YMCA. when i told her (the day before classes started) that we would be starting ballet the next day, her response was "mommy, i have been waiting my whole life to take ballet! thank you, thank you, thank you!!!" of course, i had to reply with "really? all 4 years of your long life??" :) she has loved avery second of it and is probably plotting out ways (as i type this) to sign up again. otherwise, she is continuing to amaze us with her vocabulary and expressions. maya also attended her first princess party where the group of girls were visited by a real princess. nanny even applied make-up to our little princess for the big event. ava is changing each and every week. she has always been the entertainer of the family, but these days she has taken it to a new level. as you can see in the pictures, she has mastered her "crazy eyes" that gets everyone laughing and even taught her big sister how to do it. she loves to be the center of attention and will find ways to get the spot light on her if i am distracted. in the past week alone, i have found her sitting in my sink and brushing her teeth with my toothbrush, she's written on the hallway corridor with brown crayon, climbed in and out of her crib, managed to remove the 2 layers of duct tape we have to use on her diaper to keep her covered during nap/bed time, and flushed almost an entire roll of toilet paper down the commode (while still attached to the dispenser). she's a handful to say the least, but she looks so darned cute while she does it!
