february photos

Well, February came and went and i never got a chance to upload our pictures. It was a great month nonetheless. Ava is still growing like a weed as you can see in the photo where she can now reach door handles. She is also developing quite the personality. She loves to make people laugh and especially enjoys a response to her clapping. Ava is cruising pretty quickly along the furniture and has taken a few solo steps in between objects. Oh, and another big event- Ava wore her first hair barette this month. Her sister picked it out and called her super-fancy. As for Miss Maya, she continues to amuse us with her quirky sayings and dance moves. She has also started dressing herself (always in dresses or skirts which just tickles nanny bc i always hated dresses growing up). take a look and leave a comment! :)

happy valentine's day!

valentine's day was very special at the johnson house. the girls had a WONDERFUL day with their boyfriends and can be summed up in the words of our 3 year old daughter.. "mommy, this is the bestest valentine's day i ever saw!" :)

SNOW DAY!

today was our 2nd snow day in 2 weeks! school was canceled before we even saw any snow; but we do live in the south.... the girls had a great time building our first snowman. take a look!

january has been another crazy month. we've had some wonderful weather which has given us a lot more time to be outside even though it's JANUARY! the girls are doing great; ava is cruising along furniture and standing unassisted for quite some time now while maya continues to amaze us with the hysterical things she says. the other night before bed i asked her why she was being so crazy... her response was "i'm not crazy, mommy- i'm WILD!". i couldnt have said it any better! :)

a visit from uncle mark

the girls finally got to meet one of daddy's best friends... uncle mark! he flew in from london for the holidays and spent some quality time with us the weekend after. maya still asks when uncle mark is coming back to take her for a ride on her bike! :) ava loved him as well!
