maya maya ballerina

catie invited maya to be her guest at dance class today. anyone who knows me KNOWS i would never have a ballerina child, but she did look pretty darn cute in that costume- and she had a GREAT time. thank you, catie!!!

the awesome foursome has been spending alot of time together. they love to see each other and are usually well-behaved. maya and owen have been friends for 2 years now (she calls him her boyfriend and talks about their wedding weekly) so we weren't too surprised when ava and oliver took a liking to each other. take a look....

a visitor

about 2 weeks ago, i went to pull the weed in this picture. clearly i was about to remove the shade for this ginormous snake! i stood about a foot away from it before i realized what was going on. i backed away slowly and then ran inside to get my camera so people would believe me about how big it was! (thankfully, i did some research that night and it's just a large garter snake). eeeeeeewwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!

easter weekend

we just got back from a great easter weekend at nanny and pop-pop's house. on friday night, we celebrated ken's birthday (happy birthday on the 17th, ken!) and then we had lots of laughs and easter activities throughout the rest of the weekend. fun was had by all.......

easter egg hunt

saturday was our annual neighborhood easter egg hunt. catie and maya moved up to the next age group, but had no trouble finding eggs!

what an amazing day we had! ava's birthday was filled with lots of gifts, fun and family-take a look! thank you to everyone who helped make this day so special.. especially grammy who flew in for the big event. ava had the best day of her life!
