Maya had a great birthday weekend. Before her party, she was surprised when her BFF returned early from her trip so she could attend Maya's birthday party :) The party was at the movie theater to watch the movie "Tangled". Then, Maya and all 11 girls walked down to a nearby restaurant for cake and ice cream! She received so many great presents this year- thank you everyone!

She saved and saved and saved....

Ava asked how she could earn money to buy Maya a birthday present (so sweet). She emptied garbages, made her bed and vacuumed. For weeks! She earned all of her money and bought Maya's present today :)

Heaven

I keep thinking of this adorable thing that Maya said yesterday and I had to share...

We were driving to basketball practice around 5pm and the sun is setting. The clouds have this pink-ish luster to them. Maya gazes out the window with her hand up to her face and says, "That cloud over there must be heaven.....I have always dreamed that heaven would be pink. Pink everything. I'm positive that cloud is heaven." :)

Lola's baptism

Lola was baptized at Saint Francis today. It was a wonderful ceremony and we all enjoyed watching Lola get submerged in holy water!! She was very brave :)

Y Guides and Princesses

Daddy and Maya are taking part in the YMCA Guides and Princesses this year. It's a program for dads and their daughters and they get to do tons of fun outdoorsy stuff together. They made their leather vests together this past weekend and next month they go camping with the rest of their "tribe"!

"mommy she's a keeper"

when i was in the shower this morning, ava brought her stool in from her room to watch her baby sister sleep. my first reaction was "what on earth are you doing in here while she's sleeping!?!?!?" but she turns to me and says... "mommy, she's a keeper". i guess we'll keep both of them around :) and maya, too :)
