at the lake!
we went up to Lake Gaston for the night with the Jones family last weekend. they are a family with 3 daughters as well, so it was a lot of fun for all the kids. the grown ups may have had a little fun as well :)

swim team 2011
what a great season! the girls swam really well this year. other than it being 100 degrees a few times, it was alot of fun!!!! these pics are out of order, but you get the point. maya has purple goggles and ava has pink goggles :)

ava-isms
for 3 days in a row now, ava has been cracking me up with her one-liners. i decided i need to start writing them down- so why not do it in a place where you'll get a kick out of them too :)
tuesday- on the way home from the swim meet, she points to our pool (which was closed because it was after 9pm) and says, "daddy, that's where the adults go when they need to chill out"
wednesday- we drop maya off at school and ava reminds me that the school is now both her and maya's school now. i acknowledge what she says... but then she says "i don't think they can handle me yet".... ain't that the truth! :)
thursday- in the car, ava says "mommy, i loved you even before i was a seed" :)

11 months old!!!
Lola is undeniably the happiest baby on earth. She laughs at the smallest things- including her own feet. She is close to walking but still crawls at the speed of light to get to her destination. Lola is my most snuggly baby thus far and loves to be held whenever possible. We are really looking forward to her 1st birthday!

she loves the walker!
Lola just figured out this walker this week, She now RUNS all around the house in this thing. I find myself moving rugs and furniture so she has more room to run. Although I have to admit, the reason she isn't wearing a shirt in this video is because she had her fingers in her mouth while running into a wall and gagged herself. Poor baby is getting a few teeth!

the royal wedding party
as i was looking for pictures for my last post, i realized i never posted pics from our royal wedding party! i woke the girls just before 6am to come downstairs for our royal wedding party..... complete with scones and tiaras! nanny was at our door at 5:30am! what a wonderful memory we made- the girls still talk about it! :)
