thanksgiving weekend

we had an excellent thanksgiving weekend at the beach. we spent a lot of quality time with nanny and pop-pop, and came home saturday to get our christmas decorations out! we cut down a tree with auntie shannon, uncle ken and catie on sunday... that maya helped us decorate this year :)

november pictures

november is over... already! this month, we've watched seen alot of changes with ava- she started crawling ALL OVER the house and even attempting the stairs once (much to mom's dismay), had her first cheerio, said her first 'word'.... "mama", and has mastered making silly faces. she is changing so fast! maya has been enjoying school and helping daddy with the leaves! oooo, and maya made her bed all by herself last week! such a big girl :) take a look...

other october photos

october has been another crazy month. i have come to realize the days/months/years just won't slow down for the next 18 years or so! :)

here are a bunch of pictures from the past few weeks. ava is trying to crawl now- she gets up on her hands and knees but then can't figure out how to move. not too much longer and we'll have to put the gates back up (uuuggggghhhhh). she loves to giggle with her big sister and is mastering drinking out of a sippy cup by herself. maya is loving every minute of pre-school and always talks about what she does with her friends. we had our first field trip to a farm for pumpkins, hayrides and a lesson about bees and honey. maya is especially excited for halloween and her birthday next month. she frequently reminds us that she wont be 2 anymore when its november 29th. :)
