Y Guides and Princesses

Daddy and Maya are taking part in the YMCA Guides and Princesses this year. It's a program for dads and their daughters and they get to do tons of fun outdoorsy stuff together. They made their leather vests together this past weekend and next month they go camping with the rest of their "tribe"!

ava's first day of school

ava is sooo excited for school today! her LAST year of pre-school!!! :)

p.s. when i picked her up today and asked how her day went, her exact words were "it was awesome, mommy!" :)

Sweet Lola Jane, 8 weeks

We are so lucky to have another happy baby! The smiles and the little fat rolls are enough to melt anyone's heart :)

"mommy she's a keeper"

when i was in the shower this morning, ava brought her stool in from her room to watch her baby sister sleep. my first reaction was "what on earth are you doing in here while she's sleeping!?!?!?" but she turns to me and says... "mommy, she's a keeper". i guess we'll keep both of them around :) and maya, too :)

grammy came to visit!!

We loved having grammy here and Lola especially loved meeting her. We are really looking forward to our trip up north in a few weeks!

oh how happy hour has changed...

nanny knows how to do it right..... with cocktails and crayons! (ok, apple juice for the kids.... but they call it their 'wine') :)

Another one bites the dust!

Maya pulled out her own tooth with dental floss last night. The picture is a little scary but seeing her come out of the bathroom with her tooth on a string is something I'll never forget.... and now neither will you! :)
